Thursday

Today we are looking at the alternative 's' sound. This sound can also be spelt 'ss' and with a 'c'. For example ice, kissing, nose, scent. Have a go at reading the words and sentences and finding all the spellings that make the 's' sound.
Now it's time for you to play a sorting game. Cut up all of the cards and sort them into words where the letter c makes a 's' sound (cell, ice) and where the letter c makes a 'c' sound ( cat, clap).

Now have a go at writing these sentences:

My scent made the snake hiss.

It will by slippy and icy in December.
