Mental Health Day
Tuesday 10th October was World Mental Health Day.
During the whole school assembly, we spent time discussing the theme: 'Mental Health is a Universal Human Right'.
Below is a copy of the assembly script. The assembly included a link to a short video clip explaining how negative feelings can build and become overwhelming. Please take a look using the link:
Talking mental health: animation & teacher toolkit | Anna Freud
Pupils created posters highlighting calming strategies or ways to communicate their worries.
Below are examples of these. You will find further examples on the class pages.
Children's Mental Health Week
Throughout this week, we have been celebrating Children's Mental Health Week by focusing on the theme 'My Voice Matters'. Each morning, we have completed different activities to support our mental health. Some year groups completed a mental health action plan, identified the positive things about ourselves and thought about our proud moments. Below are some photos of pupils work that shows their proudest moments and things that make them happy.
