World Kindness Day 2024
On Wednesday 13th November we have recognised World Kindness Day.
We took part in an online live assembly. The pupils were asked to think about what kindness means to them and how choosing actions carefully can ensure we are kind to others.
Odd Sock Day
On Tuesday 12th November, we took part in Odd Sock Day.
The purpose of the day is to recognise that we are all unique and that is FANTASTIC 😊
Anti - Bullying Week 2024
On Monday 11th November to Friday 15th November we have recognised Anti-Bullying Week.
This years’ this is 'Choose Respect' and we have discussed how we can bring an end to bullying which negatively impacts millions of young lives.
This year, the aim is to empower children and young people to not resort to bullying, even when we disagree and remind adults to lead by example, online and offline.
All pupils took part in a range of activities and assemblies. Pupils were asked to make S.T.O.P (Several Times On Purpose) posters that will be displayed across the school. Take a look below:
ANTI-BULLYING WEEK 2023
Monday 13th November - Friday 17th November
This week we have been recognising the extremely important topic 'bullying'. We have been reminding ourselves what bullying is and what we can do prevent this and help others. The whole school took part in Odd Sock Day to recognise that we are all different. Also, we have had assemblies discussing World Kindness Day and a special Anti-Bullying Assembly recognising the difference between banter and bullying.
Take a look at the work we have done this week in our class.
On Thursday 5th May we took the time to recognise bullying again, and discussed what this may look like. Classes discussed the different roles in bullying, and how in most cases incidents it is not just two people. Please see the informative PowerPoint below that explains the different roles people can play in a bullying incident.
The children were asked to create posters that can be displayed across the school.
Take a look at how amazing they are!
Watch out for these posters! You will see them around school, to remind you what bullying is AND most importantly what to do if you are being bullied.
REMEMBER – ALWAYS TELL A TRUSTED FRIEND OR ADULT!
Reddal Hill Primary School is a caring and friendly school. We do not agree with bullying and strongly believe that every child has a right to feel happy and safe. Reddal Hill is devoted to creating an environment where both pupils and staff feel safe, supported and fully alive.
In order to achieve this, we are taking a stand against bullying with the intent to reduce and eradicate, where possible, instances in which pupils are subject to any forms of bullying.
NO ONE DESERVES TO BE BULLIED
