Monday

Today we are looking at the alternative 'a' sound. This is when the letter a can make sounds like 'a' (hat), 'ay'(bacon) and 'o' (what). Have a go at reading the words and sentences below. How many alternative sounds can you spot?

Now it's time for you to go on phonics play and play 'Acorn Adventures', to sort the alternative spellings.

When you are logged in click on the resources tab, click Phase 5 and scroll down to Phase 5c "Acorn Adventures" and click on 'a' sound.
