A child or young person has a Special Educational Need and/or Disability if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him/her.
According to the SEND Code of Practice (2015, p.16) a child or young person has a learning difficulty if they have:
the same age, or
facilities of a kind generally provided for others of the same age in
mainstream schools
At Reddal Hill, we work collaboratively with a range of external agencies to ensure that we provide appropriate support for our children with special educational needs. Please see further information below by clicking on each of the agency icons.
At Reddal Hill Primary School, we recognise the importance of effective partnerships with our parents/carers in meeting the individual needs of our children. If you have any concerns regarding your child's learning or feel that they are having difficulties at school, please discuss these concerns with your child's class teacher or Mrs. K. Beard, Assistant Headteacher of Inclusion by completing the form below.
Every Friday afternoon, we will be offering a SEND Surgery. This will be an opportunity for the parents of children with SEND to meet with Mrs. K. Beard to discuss any issues or concerns that they may have. This will take place every Friday afternoon between 1.10 pm and 3.00pm. Parents wishing to speak to Mrs. K. Beard will need to arrange an appointment by calling 01384 569053 or by completing the form below.
If you have any questions or comments regarding your child's Special Educational Needs or wish to speak to Mrs Beard, please complete the form below.
