WALT: use subordinating conjunctions.
Use the subordinating conjunctions ‘although’, ‘because’ and ‘when to connect two sentences together.
Example:
Sentence 1: George knew something wasn’t right.
Sentence 2: He found more than he had bargained for under his mother’s favourite chicken.
Sentence with conjunction in:
George knew something wasn’t right when he found more than he had bargained for under his mother’s favourite chicken.
