Careers Education 2025–2026

At Reddal Hill Primary School, we promote awareness of the wider world of work through our broad and engaging curriculum.

Pupils benefit from a wide range of visitors linked to their learning, including environmental educators, water company representatives, members of the clergy, police officers and healthcare staff. We have also welcomed many other visitors throughout the year who have supported pupils’ understanding of different roles and careers.

Careers education is interwoven throughout our curriculum. Pupils learn about a range of significant individuals, including scientists, artists and other people of interest, helping to deepen their understanding of the world and raise aspirations.

For further information about how careers link to learning, please refer to the Curriculum page.

Careers Lead

Careers education is led by Mrs T. Whitehurst.

During the last academic year, the careers lead completed the Start Small; Dream Big programme, a training programme which provides a recognised qualification. This has supported the development of our careers provision and ensures a strong, informed approach to raising aspirations and awareness of future opportunities.
