Reading at home plays a vital role in every child’s learning and development. Just ten minutes of reading each day can support children’s wellbeing, improve mood, and reduce stress. As a school, we love hearing about parents and carers sharing reading time at home with their children.

To celebrate and encourage regular reading, we have introduced Read to Succeed – a new reading reward programme, proudly named by our pupils. Through this scheme, children can earn badges and certificates based on how often they read at home.

How It Works

• Bronze Reader
  Read at home 45 times to earn a bronze badge and certificate.

• Silver Reader
  Read a further 45 times (90 in total) to earn a silver badge and certificate.

• Gold Reader
  Read another 45 times (135 in total) to earn a gold badge and certificate.

• Platinum Reader
  After reading a total of 50 books, children will become a Platinum Reader and receive a £5 book voucher along with a certificate.
