Year 1 - Lilies

Lilies Class 2025-2026

Hello and welcome to our class page! Our class teacher is Mrs Fazey and our LSP is Mrs Rehman. In our class we have lots of fun and love learning new things! On this page you will find information about our class.  smiley

If there are any additional questions, feel free to come and speak to either Mrs Fazey or Mrs Rehman on the playground.

School Uniform:

Please make sure that your child’s name is written inside all school clothes (cardigans, jumpers, trousers, t shirts and coats). This makes it easier to give out misplaced clothes back to their rightful owners.

P.E Day:

The class PE day's are on a Monday and Thursday. Please ensure that appropriate footwear is worn and PE clothing is appropriate for the weather as our lessons will be indoors and outdoors on the playground. Hair must be tied back and earrings must be taken out on PE days.

Homework:

Homework will be given out on a Friday and must be returned the following Wednesdayso we can monitor your child's learning. If you need any help completing your child's homework then there is a homework club you can attend with your child after school.

In addition to this, a homework menu will be sent out each half-term with a variety of learning activities for your child to choose from.  The activities aim to compliment and consolidate learning that has taken place across the half-term.

Thank you for your support with this.

Changing Books:

Reading books are changed every Friday, but it is very important that your child brings their book bag to school every day so an adult can hear them read. Please write a comment in your child’s reading diary when you hear them read at home. You can comment on the book and ask your children questions about what is happening or what might happen next. Every time you read with your child please record it in your child's reading record. Remember! The more your child reads at home, the closer they will be to achieving their bronze, silver or gold reading awards.

Bronze - 45 reads (45 comments in your child's reading record)

Silver – 90 reads (45 additional comments in your child's reading record)

Gold – 135 reads (45 additional comments in your child's reading record)

Platinum – 50 additional reads (50 separate books)

Additional Information:

All children in Year 1 have usernames and passwords for Mathletics, Purple Mash and Spelling Shed. These can be found in their reading records. Children can access these websites from home. Each child has an individual username and password. Mathletics is an excellent resource which allows children to practise their mathematical skills. Times Table Rock Stars encourages recall of times tables and Spelling Shed will help the children with their spellings!
