On Tuesday 13th January 2026, our School Council had a wonderful visit to the Houses of Parliament, where the children were given a fascinating tour of this historic building.
We were also delighted to meet our local MP Alex Ballinger, who took time to speak with us and answer questions about his role and the work of Parliament.
A real highlight of the day was sitting in on a live debate in the House of Commons, giving the children a memorable first-hand experience of democracy in action.
Throughout the visit, the children’s behaviour was impeccable; they were respectful, attentive and represented the school superbly. They should be all very proud of themselves for the maturity and enthusiasm they showed during such a special opportunity.
