Flotsam is a picture book which has no words.
Blurb: A science-minded boy goes to the beach equipped to collect and examine flotsam — anything floating that has been washed ashore. Bottles, lost toys, small objects of every description are among his usual finds. But there's no way he could have prepared for one particular discovery: a barnacle-encrusted underwater camera, with its own secrets to share...and to keep.
The story shows a young boy who finds an underwater camera washed up on the beach. He gets the film developed and discovers lots of incredible things happening underwater.
Below are two videos. You can choose to watch both or pick one to watch.
The first video is an 'oral presentation' where someone has created a story to explain the images.
The second video simply shows us the book how it was intended: a slideshow of pictures. If you choose to watch this video, you can use the pictures and your own imagination to decide what is
happening in the story.
