Behaviour
At Reddal Hill we strive to ensure that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that each person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all.
We believe that positive behaviour is fundamental to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. We promote high expectations of behaviour and attitudes, underpinned by mutual respect, kindness, and responsibility.
We recognise and celebrate positive behaviour, while also supporting pupils to reflect on their choices and learn from mistakes. Clear expectations and strong relationships between pupils, staff, and families help our school community work together to ensure all children feel valued and ready to learn.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to promote positive behaviour and to help pupils develop the social, emotional, and moral skills they need for success both in school and beyond.
Our approach to behaviour is guided by our Reddal Hill Primary Behaviour Curriculum. This begins with a set of clear school rules that provide a consistent foundation for behaviour in all areas of school life. These rules are designed to be easily understood and applied by all pupils, supporting safety, respect and positive conduct at all times.

Building on these rules are the Three R’s at Reddal – Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Reliable. The Three R’s shape our daily practice and set out our shared expectations for behaviour in classrooms, around school and beyond. They are explicitly taught, modelled by staff and reinforced consistently to help pupils understand how to make positive choices.

The Reddal Hill Primary School Behaviour Policy, which sets out our expectations, procedures and support systems in detail, can be found below.
