Hi Nursery,
Hope you are all having lots of fun at home with your families and keeping safe!
Even though we are not at Nursery, you can still be doing some activities to develop the skills needed for phonics and Maths.
You could try going outside in the garden/ opening a window and listening to the different sounds you can hear.
Try exploring any musical instruments you have in the house or try making an instrument of your own.
Can you sing a nursery rhyme and talk about the words that rhyme.
Ask an adult to play Jolly Phonics on Youtube and see if you can join in with the actions and rhymes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qpn2839Kro
You could put animals, or any other toy, in water or sand and count how many you have.
Try using paint and draw different shapes and count how many sides they have.
Decorate Easters eggs, which a grown up has drawn for you, and tell someone which colours you are using.
Everyday in Nursery we always sing the weather song and the days of the week. Ask an adult to play these two songs on Youtube every day, so that you can continue to learn them.

Haden Hill Park
On Friday 28th June, Nursery went on a trip to Haden Hill Park.
We spent time on both play areas, some boys even went digging for bones!! The children then went on a nature treasure hunt around the park.
We had a picnic together in front of the house, before having a delicious ice-cream as a treat.
Finally we had a lot of fun playing on the field together.
Thank-you to all of the children and their parents who came along!
