Young Voices

On Monday 20th January, the KS2 Choir performed in the Young Voices Concert 2020 at the
Resorts World Arena in Birmingham. The children had an amazing time: singing and dancing! We arrived at the arena at 2pm and rehearsed alongside 5,000 other children. We then ate our dinner and prepared for the concert! It was a fantastic experience: singing with Tony Hadley, The Shires and Ruti! We even got to dance with Urban Striders!

Christmas at Reddal Hill

Music is a massive part of the festivities and Christmas celebrations here at Reddal Hill. As a whole school, we perform Christmas Carol Concerts and Nativities.

This year was extra special though! We had music concerts from both the Brass and Woodwind band and the Rock bands! Some children from year 5 and also visited Trinity House Care Home to spread some Christmas cheer!

Here are some photos of the children celebrating Christmas through music!

Rocksteady Music School

This year Rocksteady Music School is going to be attending Reddal Hill to teach some of the children how to play rock band instruments including keyboards, drum kits and guitars.

The children are put into a band and are allowed to choose their band name. Each band is made up of a vocalist, guitarist, keyboard player and a drummer.

At the moment we have five different bands full of children from Reception all the way to
Year 6.

The lessons are on a Tuesday morning between 9:00am and 11:30am.

If you would like more information about this exciting opportunity please visit their website:

There are still lots of places available and registration is on their website.

Brass and Woodwind Band

There are many children at school who participate in the school band. The children play lots of different musical instruments such as: flutes, clarinets, baritone, trumpet, trombone and the tenor horn.

Here are some photographs of the children enjoying their music lessons.
