Year 6 Maths Inspire Workshop

On Friday 26th October, we enjoyed our first Inspire Workshop.  Thank you to everyone for attending.

**********************************************************

On Monday, September 10th 2018, Year 6 started their new topic by travelling

back in time and experiencing a journey many children would have made during

the World War 2 era.

The children and staff of year 6 were 'evacuated' from school and sent away on the Severn Valley Railway to Highley Station! The children had nothing more than their packed lunches and the clothes on their back!!

We had 4 fantastic guides during our trip and we were informed that Highley Station was actually a destination for children during the World War 2 evacuation. Upon arriving, children waited to be allocated to the villagers.

It really gave us all an appreciation of what life would have been like for the evacuees of World War II.

Healthy Schools Week

On Friday 21st September, we made a Fruit Salad

to link into Healthy Schools Week!

Firstly, we spoke about different types of fruit and then we made our Fruit Salads. We linked this neatly into our English lesson and based our Big Write on Making Instructions, using Imperative Verbs.  Well done Everyone !!
